Don’t throw it away if it can be repurposed!

Converting this TV cabinet was a fun but difficult project.   This  TV cabinet was part of a living room set and the owner wanted to somehow use it again for her newer model tv, so we set out to repurpose the old version into something more modern.What you don’t see is that on the inside, there was a slide out for the tv along with a full back.  I removed all the sliders as well as cut the cabinet down to 18 inches tall and the doors down to 12 inches tall. Along with that, I removed the glass door down and cut it on the molding to shorten it to fit into the new cabinet.  The excess portion of the door was repurposed into trim work for the new cabinet.  Additionally, I  put a 6 inch area above the cabinet for add-ons and cable boxes.  This cabinet was put back together with Titebond glue and hidden screws to give a professional finish.
