This trash container is made from oak flooring. I planed it to 5/8 inch thick with my planer. this is 3 are 4 inch wide pieces. We clear coated these for outside use. They are tough and will hold a large trash bag. You take the top
off and put trash bag in and then open the lid. It is 36 inches tall and 16 wide and has a removable bottom for easy cleaning.
